The Story of
Wild Tether
My name is Baylee and I am the passionate owner of Wild Tether Therapy. Born and raised in Montana, nature and the mountains around us have always been my wild tether-the place I feel most grounded, held, connected with the community around me, and connected with my authentic self. I am passionate about providing psychotherapy that empowers my clients to heal their traumas, tend to unhealed wounds, disrupt harmful patterns, and author new and empowering narratives for their lives through connecting with their inner knowing through nature. I feel honored to walk alongside my clients on their paths of healing.

Nature-Based Psychotherapy
Seeking nature and moving our bodies are two healthy ways we can cope with the stress of our daily lives, work through pent-up emotional energy, and generally feel better! What if we could get outside and connect with nature in ways that aid in our healing during therapy? What if we could include the movement of our bodies and the connection with the wilderness around us in our therapeutic goals as client and therapist? I am proud to offer clients the opportunity to engage in the therapeutic process in ways that feel grounded, present, and empowered through connecting with the nature around us- the wild tether that holds us.

Equine-assisted psychotherapy
Horses are amazing co-therapists. They show up in the world with true authenticity, are clear communicators, have incredible senses (including response to human emotion), and can show up in therapy in impactful ways through their attunement with nature and other beings, their presence, and the trusting relationships they offer.

“Relationship is a felt
sense of what happens between us and others (people, horses, dogs, nature) and the more we are able to be in relationship, the healthier and happier we are.”
-
Duey Freeman, therapist and founder of the Gestalt Equine Institute of the Rockies
